1. Scope of Submissions
Arid Zone Research was founded in 1984. It is an academic journal supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and sponsored by the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Soil Science Society. It publishes original, comprehensive, theoretical, and practical academic papers in the research fields of water resources, soil, biology, climate, and environment in arid regions. It mainly publishes research results on basic scientific issues in arid regions, such as arid zone responses to global climate change, inland water cycle and water resources, arid zone biological resources and oasis ecology, soil science, and desertification control.
2. Manuscript Writing Requirements
Authors are kindly requested to carefully read the Arid Zone Research paper template and other relevant documents, and write and revise manuscripts according to the writing requirements and format.
3. Submission Instructions
3.1 Submission Method: This journal implements online submission. The online submission system website is http://azr.xjegi.com (Baidu official website certified). There is no other submission website. Please note. In principle, this journal does not accept any form of submission outside of the above-mentioned submission system.
3.2 Before submitting a manuscript, please register as an author (only author registration and submission are accepted. Third-party ghostwriting and submission are strictly prohibited). Fill in the information as required and activate the account. Then you can log in to the submission system and submit the manuscript step by step. Please note that when submitting a manuscript, the author must fill in and sign the "Copyright Transfer Agreement", "Conflict of Interest Declaration", and "Author Contribution Declaration", and submit them to the editorial department together with the manuscript.
3.3 After receiving the manuscript, the editorial department will immediately send a receipt to the author. Authors can log in to the website at any time to check the review status and relevant information of the manuscript. Before the editorial department processes the manuscript, the author can modify the manuscript information at the manuscript query at any time. Once the editorial department starts processing the manuscript, the author cannot modify the manuscript at will. It must be modified after the editorial department performs a revision operation. Do not use the submission function to submit this manuscript again. Otherwise, it will be regarded as a new manuscript or resubmission, and the existing review results will be invalidated. However, the author information of the article can be modified at the manuscript query at any time. If personal information or communication methods change, please update them in time.
3.4 This journal implements a review system of "Editorial Department Initial Review - Peer Expert Review - Editorial Board Review - Editor-in-Chief Final Review". Each stage of review is usually completed within 20 working days. At any stage of the review, the author can actively request to withdraw the manuscript (the editorial department should be notified in a timely manner), but cannot submit the manuscript to a third party without withdrawing it within the agreed time limit (i.e., multiple submissions are not allowed). The manuscript can only be submitted to other journals after the expected time limit is exceeded or the withdrawal is declared.
3.5 If the revised manuscript is not returned within 60 days during the revision process, and the author does not declare the reason in a timely manner, the editorial department has the right to reject the manuscript.
3.6 Manuscripts in this journal are generally published in the order of the time of acceptance. Manuscripts with innovative and cutting-edge research results and invited manuscripts will be given priority for publication.
3.7 After the accepted manuscripts are typeset, the proofs will be sent to the author for confirmation. Except for typesetting errors, the text and graphics will generally not be changed. Authors should return the proofreading confirmation information in a timely manner as required. After the manuscript is published, the author will be paid a fee per article and will be given a copy of the current issue of the journal.
4. Charging Standards
4.1 Manuscript Processing Fee (Review Fee) 200 yuan/article. Before the initial review of the manuscript is completed and sent for peer review, the author will be notified by email to pay the review fee. After the editorial department confirms receipt of the review fee, the manuscript will be sent for expert review.
4.2 Publication Fee (Page Fee) 400 yuan/page. For articles requiring color illustrations or photos, an additional 600 yuan will be charged per page for color illustration production and color printing.
5. Other Information
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Copyright Law", this journal may edit the manuscripts. For substantial content revisions, the author's consent will be obtained. The author is responsible for the content of the manuscript and is responsible for carefully verifying and verifying the entire content of the article to ensure that the content of the article is correct and does not involve any leakage of secrets. Once any relevant problems are found, the author shall be responsible.
