1. Open Access Statement
Arid Zone Research is an Open Access Journal. Starting from the first issue of 2021, this journal has officially switched to a fully open access publication model using the CC BY-NC-ND license. All articles are immediately and permanently free to read and download on the journal's official website upon publication and can be freely copied, distributed, and used under the terms of the journal's license policy (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
2. License Policy
Arid Zone Research uses the Creative Commons "Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0" (Abbreviated as CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license, which allows third-party users to copy and distribute the journal's articles in any medium and format, provided that the third-party users comply with the terms of the license:

3. Copyright Policy
When submitting a manuscript, authors are required to sign a "Copyright Transfer Agreement" with the Arid Zone Research editorial department, transferring the copyright of the article to the Arid Zone Research editorial department after the article is accepted by this journal. The copyright is owned by the Arid Zone Research editorial department, but the author has the right to use the article in accordance with the Creative Commons license adopted by this journal (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
If the article is not accepted, the agreement will automatically become invalid and the copyright will remain with the author.

4. Article Online Access and Archiving
In addition to the journal's official website, full-text data of previously published articles in this journal are stored in databases such as CNKI in China. Readers can also access the above-mentioned databases to obtain the journal's articles online. To ensure data security, all information is also backed up by the editorial department, including paper and electronic versions of each issue of the journal are archived in the editorial department.
In addition, this journal allows authors to store all versions of their articles in institutional or other knowledge repositories of their choice, and the metadata of the articles in the stored institutions or other knowledge repositories must be annotated with standardized journal publication information, and as the recommended citation.
