This paper has introduced the general situation of Gansu desert area history of desert control with science and technology in Gansu province after the new country's establish– ment for 50 years the traditional methods and effects of desert controlled institute establih– ment of scientific research on desert control check about the desert area technological research of desert control with the methods of the project,plant,chemical and comprehensive application and popularization of techniques about desert cntrol with science and technology achievement, existing problems,and development opportunity in desert control with science and technology in Gansu province.
